Piaget’s passion for polo makes UK appearance
Swiss watchmaker Piaget kept time on the Audi International for The Coronation Cup at Guards Polo Club, Windsor Great Park as Official Time Piece Partner. The world-class match saw a tremendous victory for Argentina against England, 13 goals to 8 with Facundo Pieres, Piaget Brand Ambassador, as top goal scorer with a total of 9. Around 6,000 guests enjoyed a showcase of incredible polo and Piaget was thrilled to be part of it, enriching its association with the sport of Kings now lasting 35 years.
In between chukkas, VIP guests were treated to a journey through Piaget time with opportunities to see rare archive photography such as President Yves Piaget with Ursula Andress, former Bond girl, modelling one of the first Piaget Polo watches, as well as limited edition Piaget Polo watches, including the Piaget Polo FortyFive 45mm watch - a size to reflect the average length of a polo match and an 880P (in-house manufactured Piaget movement).
“The 2014 Audi International for the Coronation Cup was a breath-taking display of exceptional polo and proved to be a natural fit for Piaget. There is a mutual passion there for flawless technique and we were honoured to have been part of a day where Piaget and polo met at the home of this most elegant sport.” Lorenza Cavalli, UK Brand Director, Piaget
