White gold, diamonds, black tourmalineUltra-chic and couture! This ring features an astonishingly large black tourmaline that has been entirely cut and faceted by Piaget. The sensual curves of a diamond ribbon set off the sheer volume of this stone, which is finely rimmed with gold. One of its claws is adorned with a diamond bow, while the other evokes a loop of a second bow that appears to be coming loose. The light of the faceted tourmaline and the radiance of the diamonds create a fascinating play on black and white contrasts in this couture-inspired interpretation of American chic. *Piaget luxury watches and jewelry are individually produced and thus the weight and carats of each product can vary from the displayed data.
Sculptures of Gold and the Architects of Dreams
At the Piaget Manufacture, designers, gemologists, gem-setters and jewelers work together in perfect harmony. Passion leads to excellence throughout all production stages, from the successful expression of an idea to the selection of rare gemstones, the most faithful interpretation of design sketches and the showcasing of gemstones. A piece of jewelry is being created at one of the largest Fine Jewelry workshops in Geneva. A drawing is created and contours are revealed little by little. The carefully studied architecture begins to take shape, and gold is then painstakingly sculpted, adjusted, polished and buffed to reveal all of its glory. This is the moment of grace when the piece of jewelry comes to life. The gold is then enhanced by the brilliance of gemstones that a gem-setter sets with precision to perfectly showcase their beauty. Nearly 340 hours of work by our designers, gemologists, gem-setters and jewelers are required to create this Fine Jewelry necklace.
