It required three years of study and research to complete the Piaget 1200S skeleton movement. Compared to the original movement, the Piaget 1200P ultra-thin movement, the 1200S skeleton movement is enhanced with numerous innovations. In addition to the micro-rotor in 950 platinum (which contributes to the exclusiveness of this exceptional movement) the balance bridge reveals a new harmonious and symmetrical esthetic. The bridge of the hour wheel was further reduced in width with a minimum measurement of 0.11 mm in order to reach the extreme thinness of the movement that reveals dimensions never explored. Remarkably, this quest for the infinitely small is repeated with the extraordinary decoration of the movement. The search for style is shown with unusual decorative work containing alternating matte surfaces - sun-brushed and sand-brushed - contrasting with the shimmering brilliance of the edges as well as the rhodium in black or various colors. Contemporary and well-designed, the Piaget 1200S skeleton movement takes the art of skeletonized movements to a new level with resolutely modern lines and a respect for the traditional craft.
