The 500P represents the second generation of Piaget automatic movements. Strong and reliable, it is fitted with a drawn oscillating mass at the center. A simple, refined design, the movement has a central seconds as well as a large date window at 6 o'clock, and has given rise to numerous variations and features. The circular Côtes de Genève, circular-grained mainplate, beveled bridges and blued screws adding the finishing touches to this movement are reminders of the Swiss watchmaking brand's high aesthetic values.
