856P movement

The 856P movement, known as the ""traveler's movement"" is an automatic mechanical movement. Similar to its immediate predecessor, the 800P movement, the 856P movement features a double barrel. It is characterized by the addition of three functions that are particularly useful to the modern traveler: a second time zone, a day/night indicator and a date display at 12 o'clock. Its 12-hour time display at 7 o'clock, allows the setting of a second time indication, different from the home time governed by the central movement. A day/night indicator is included in the central movement, depending on home time, and tells the traveler if the sun is still up in his home country. On the other side of the main dial, at 5 o'clock, a small seconds indication completes this perfect watch for the globe-trotter. The circular Côtes de Genève, the circular-grained mainplate, the beveled bridges, the blued screws and the oscillating weight engraved with the Piaget coat of arms and set with 25 brilliant-cut diamonds round off this exceptional movement, while remaining true to the aesthetic codes cherished by the Swiss watchmaking brand.
