Ultra-thin movements

Piaget has always made technological innovation as one of its top priorities. The creation in 1957 of the 9P ultra-thin hand-wound movement with a thickness of only 2 mm, soon followed by the arrival in 1960 of the 12P ultra-thin automatic mechanical movement at 2.3 mm demonstrate the emphasis of innovation. Over 25 ultra-thin movements have been developed for the Piaget collection. Among these is the 1208P caliber, which holds the double record of the thinnest automatic mechanical movement on the market at 2.35 mm, and the thinnest watch in its category at 5.25 mm.
