    David Goffin

    The tennis player

    Through his humility, his hard working and willingness of excelling, at only 25 years old, David is today one of the youngest best tennis players in the world. He is also the first of his country to reach such an amazing level.

    He is the Belgian number 1 male tennis player as of end of 2015. He has become professional in 2009, his breakthrough came when he reached the fourth round of the 2012 French Open as a lucky loser, eventually losing to Roger Federer in four sets.

    He then won two singles matches to secure Belgium a place in the 2013 Davis Cup World Group.

    Breaking into the top 20 in 2015 ranked number 13.

    2016: 4th round at Australia, first career Masters 1000 semifinals.

    Goffin has defeated several higher-ranked players such as John Isner, Radek Štěpánek, Viktor Troicki, Milos Raonic, Stanislas Wawrinka and Jo Wilfried Tsonga.
