Piaget Unveils its New Boutique on Place Vendôme
Acting as the face of the ‘Extraleganza’ that defines the Maison, as elegant as it is extravagant, the historic boutique at 16 place Vendôme in Paris is taking on a new look and doubling its original Footprint. This new oasis is designed by architect Rafael de Cárdenas.
The Art of Shape and Colour
The Piaget boutique invites immersion into a world of colours and shapes. Its circular windows, enhanced with blue sodalite panels, pay homage to the Maison’s historic dials and 20th-century French decorative art. Inside, shades of blue, coral, and gold reflect the Maison’s fundamental DNA. Designer Rafael de Cárdenas created a "cabinet of curiosities" concept, highlighting Piaget's strong, refined, and creative identity, which combines exquisite precision with a visionary approach.
Craftsmanship at the Heart of the Project
The boutique, with its intimate enfilade rooms, celebrates craftsmanship, the heart of Piaget's identity. The Plaster Savoir-Faire wall, created by Caroline Perrin, is an additional tribute to this craftsmanship. A sinuous and asymmetrical staircase leads to the mezzanine. The second floor, overlooking Place Vendôme, offers a bright space adorned with a ceiling fresco inspired by malachite, a work by Julien Gautier.
A Cultural Dialogue
Designed as a privileged place for exchange, reminiscent of the Piaget Salon in Geneva in 1959, this boutique embodies a cultural encounter. It merges the aesthetic of Rafael de Cárdenas with the curatorial vision of Alexandra Fain (Asia NOW). The exhibition of artworks, essential for the Maison, recalls the inspiration Piaget draws from the genius of artists for its creations.
