1160P movement
Manufacture Piaget 1160P self-winding mechanical movement with chronograph and date.
The 1160P movement is a development of the 880P self-winding mechanical chronograph movement. This self-winding chronograph movement has central seconds, a 12 hours counter at 9 o'clock, and a 30 minutes counter at 3 o'clock. The date at 6 o'clock completes the indications of this movement, which has a thickness of only 5.72 mm. The various phases of the 1160P chronograph movement are controlled by a column-wheel; a construction method renowned for its chronometric qualities. In addition to its remarkable accuracy, its vertical coupling-clutch system spares the 50-hour power reserve. The 1160P movement vibrates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and is fitted with a balance stop. The 1160P movement includes fine finishes: Piaget coat-of-arms engraved on the slate grey oscillating weight, Côtes de Genève decorations, circular-grained mainplate, bevelled bridges, sunburst wheels and blued screws.
