Our Hand-Wound
Mechanical Movements

Since the launch of the 9P in 1957, we have been on a continual quest for the ultra-thin. Creating a strong heritage around ultra-thin hand-wound mechanical movements and applying this savoir-faire to some of our most prestigious watch complications. From this, calibers such as the 430P and 830P calibers were born, encouraging innovation and technique in a new era Fine Watchmaking.

Movements

Mechanical finesse

This legendary mechanical movement became the inspiration for numerous others designed and created entirely within the Manufacture in its little village, La-Côte-aux-Fées. Almost a century and a half ago this is where the story began for one of the most emblematic brands in luxury watchmaking: Piaget. Ever since, inspired by the twin imperatives of aesthetics and technical prowess, Piaget has been indefatigable in devising record-breaking ultra-thin mechanical movements. Genuine masterpieces of refinement, these movements stand out as epic achievements in the realm of the luxury watch. In fact, the extreme resistance and ultra-thin profile of the 430P hand wind mechanical movement (brought out in 1998) make it – to this day – one of the most iconic movement in that specific field.
