Combining the expertise of Piaget Haute Horlogerie and High Jewelry, the Altiplano gem-set skeleton automatic watch dazzles with its 1200D movement, the bottom plate and working parts of which are entirely gem-set. The Manufacture Piaget is one of the very few to master such savoir-faire, coupled with a double record for watch thinness: 3,00 mm for the movement, 6,00 mm for the case. In order to achieve this exceptional gem-setting, the bottom plate and bridges were specially designed to be made of gold. This exploit combining watchmaking and jewelry expertise takes over four days' work for a single watch movement. Piaget takes its artistry to the lengths of concealing screw-heads under black sapphire cabochons. Delicately set between bottom plate, bezel, sapphire crystal case-back and the buckle of its bracelet, 360 brilliant-cut diamonds enhance the precious structure of this luxury white gold watch. With its thickness of only 6 mm, this Altiplano watch is the thinnest gem-set skeleton automatic mechanical watch in the world.
