ULTRA-THIN MASTERY
THE ART OF THINNESS SINCE 1957
For over six decades, Piaget has led the ultra-thin revolution. The hand-wound 9P (1957) and self-winding 12P (1960) marked milestones in watchmaking, setting records for thinness and elegance. The innovation continued in 1976 with the 7P, the world’s thinnest quartz movement, enabling bold new designs like the Piaget Polo 79.

MASTERING THINNESS, MAXIMIZING INNOVATION
Achieving extreme thinness requires more than miniaturization—it demands reinvention. At Piaget’s integrated manufacture, the Ateliers de l’extraordinaire, every stage of the creation of ultra-thin watches unfolds under the Maison’s roof, enabling seamless collaboration between watchmakers, engineers, and artisans.
By mastering all the steps and, Piaget eliminates redundancies and optimizes every millimetre. Advanced materials like cobalt alloys enable components as thin as 0.12mm—barely thicker than a human hair.

Each ultra-thin watch is a masterpiece born from the collective expertise and passion of Piaget's dedicated craftsmen, who work together to balance functionality, durability, and aesthetics.

PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES
Ultra-thin watchmaking is at the core of every Piaget creation including Piaget Polo, while the Altiplano collection embodies a pure expression of ultra-thin elegance.
Ultra-thin watches like the Altiplano 38mm 900P and the Altiplano Ultimate Concept (AUC), winner of the Aiguille d’Or at Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève, exemplify Piaget’s ability to combine mechanical innovation with minimalist aesthetics.

Piaget also redefines technical watchmaking with ultra-thin major complications housed in extraordinarily thin structures. A breaking record at the time of its launch as the world’s thinnest shaped mechanical tourbillon, the 600P, and the 1290P Minute Repeater, an ultra-thin marvel in chiming watches.
The latest breakthrough, the AUC Tourbillon, integrates a flying tourbillon within a 2mm case, proving that Piaget’s pursuit of thinness knows no limits.

ULTRA-THIN UNLOCKS A WORLD OF CREATIVITY
Piaget’s ultra-thin mastery unlocks new creative possibilities, transforming timepieces into works of art. Since 1963, by eliminating bulk, it allows for the use of ornamental stone dials, a Piaget signature expressed today in Andy Warhol Collection. Malachite, lapis lazuli, turquoise, and tiger’s eye elevate each ultra-thin watch into a vibrant, artistic masterpiece.
Ultra-thin expertise also brings a new level of sophistication to sport watches. The Piaget Polo Skeleton combines bold aesthetics with a sleek open-worked movement, defining the Maison’s vision of sports elegant watches.

At Piaget’s Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire, each timepiece is meticulously finished using techniques such as guilloche engraving, gem-setting, and Decor Palace gold engraving , ensuring that ultra-thin watches remain as visually stunning as they are mechanically advanced.
